Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between George Steele (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Randy Williams (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Steele's entrance music is Freak On A Leash. A fine choice. Williams has chosen Alice In Chains - Rooster as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Randy Williams!
The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Dean Styles and Lou da Vinci.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Steele rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Williams counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Steele thinking.
Steele misses with a leg kick.
Williams fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Steele throws a sloppy head kick and Williams moves out of range easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Williams takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
A jab lands there for Steele.

Williams gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Williams jumps guard but Steele stands there with Williams around his waist. Williams gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Williams shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Steele's guard.

and Williams counters by clinching up.
Steele scores with a hook to the body.

Steele lands an elbow that stopped Williams in his tracks for a moment.
Steele looking to throw knees to the head but Williams is blocking nicely.

Williams has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Steele is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Williams has Steele pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Williams pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Steele tumbling to the mat - Williams dives into Steele's guard.
Williams postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Steele avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Williams has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Williams keeps the fight on the outside.
Williams tries to close the distance and clinch up but Steele swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Steele fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Williams has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

and Steele counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Williams throws a jab but it's blocked by Steele.

Steele tries a head kick but it misses.

Williams shoots in looking for a takedown but Steele manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Williams's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

and Williams counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Steele!
Steele tries to hold on but Williams pushes him away.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Steele is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Williams is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Steele lands a two punch combo.
Steele slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.

and Williams counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Williams shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Steele pinned against the cage. Steele gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

That was a close round but George Steele did the better work so I'd imagine he'll take it.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

and Williams counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Steele scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Williams doesn't seem bothered though.

Steele is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Williams's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Williams's back!

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Williams tries to work over Steele's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.

Williams scores with a shoulder strike.
Williams tries to pull guard but Steele holds him up against the cage and eventually Williams drops back down to his feet.
Steele stalls.
Williams lands a left hand that snaps the head of Steele backwards.
Still in the clinch, Steele scores with a nice short uppercut.
Williams letting Steele take a breather here.
Steele lands an elbow that stopped Williams in his tracks for a moment.
Williams misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Williams scores with a shot to the side of Steele's head.
Steele pushes off an throws an elbow but Williams leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.
Williams works on Steele's body with a couple of short punches.

And that's the end of the fight!
Randy Williams comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Steele has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
