Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Rickson Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Richmond (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gracie comes into the arena with Black & Yellow blaring out of the sound system. Rickson Gracie has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rickson Gracie!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, James Richmond!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Cecil Peabody and Wesley Smith.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gracie will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Gracie rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Richmond moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Richmond throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Richmond misses with a left hand

and Gracie counters with a single leg into guard. Richmond didn't expect that.

Gracie drops back looking for a leg! Richmond is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Richmond manages to kick Gracie off! Gracie jumps back into Richmond's guard.
Gracie works a leg free and moves into half guard.

Gracie thows a huge punch but Richmond dodges it nicely.
Richmond is in trouble now - Gracie has advanced to mount!
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Richmond can do anything to dispel that myth.
Gracie lands a heavy elbow.

Gracie looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Gracie cracks Richmond with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

It looks like James Richmond has been cut.

Gracie pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Gracie lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

Richmond is flailing around, obviously not happy about being mounted. Gracie locks hold of one of his arms and spins for an armbar. He's got it! Richmond is forced to tap!
