Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Taj al Din (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Casey Carwin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). al Din comes into the arena with FEARLESS blaring out of the sound system. Carwin is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Tool - Vicarious. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A looping hook to the body misses from al Din. Carwin does a little dance to reset his feet.

and al Din counters with a nice kick to the body.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

al Din throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

and Carwin counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps al Din thinking.
al Din throws an overhand right that lands on Carwin's shoulder, as Carwin tries to avoid the shot.
al Din moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
al Din throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Carwin stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

al Din dips to his left and cracks Carwin with an uppercut!
Carwin takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
al Din throws a nice outside leg kick.
al Din lands a slapping body shot.
A decent looking cross lands there for al Din.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Carwin fakes high and swings low for a body shot but al Din manages to avoid it.

and al Din counters with a two punch combo.

Carwin misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Both these guys seem content to just stand up and trade with eachother but Carwin might want to think about changing up his gameplan a bit because over the course of the fight, al Din has got the better of the exchanges.
al Din looks to score with a jab to the body but Carwin is just out of range.

Carwin blocks a head kick by al Din.
al Din lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Carwin is breathing heavily.
Carwin rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but al Din moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Carwin's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.
al Din fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Carwin has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
al Din throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Carwin on the side of the head.
al Din tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Carwin dives in and grabs al Din's left leg, looking for a takedown. al Din pushes down on Carwin's head and hops out.

al Din throws a leg kick which misses Carwin's front leg but catches the back leg as Carwin tries to avoid it.

al Din uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Carwin.

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts al Din, as that shot connected.

al Din lets loose with a powerful body kick. Carwin will feel that in the morning.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Carwin smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Carwin scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
al Din takes a swing at Carwin's ribcage but misses.

al Din ducks right into an uppercut from Carwin.

al Din is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Carwin can do to turn this around?
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
al Din rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Carwin moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

al Din manages to get to full guard.
al Din bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Carwin's guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
al Din is stalling in the full guard.

and al Din counters with a low kick, right behind Carwin 's knee.

Carwin closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Carwin lands in his opponent's guard.

al Din is looking to stand up but Carwin isn't so interested in that idea.
Carwin is pushing down on al Din's leg trying to pass to half guard. al Din is fighting to maintain full guard but Carwin has managed to sneak the leg through.

That was a close fourth round but I would say that Taj al Din will probably get the nod.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for al Din, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
