The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rollsson has his takedown stuffed
and Vakarian counters with a lovely straight right hand!
It looks like John Rollsson has been cut.
Rollsson fails with a takedown attempt.
Rollsson misses with a takedown attempt
and Vakarian cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Garrus Vakarian has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of John Rollsson.

and Vakarian counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Rollsson looks gassed!

and Vakarian connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Rollsson closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Vakarian to the mat! Vakarian manages to get full guard.
Vakarian wants to stand but Rollsson is controlling the position.
Rollsson drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Rollsson jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Vakarian has his feet on Rollsson's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
Rollsson misses with a takedown
and Vakarian counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Vakarian lands with an uppercut that bounces Rollsson off the cage and back into rage.
That has opened up John Rollsson's cut even more.
Vakarian is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
Vakarian cracks Rollsson with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Rollsson avoids a punch combination nicely.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Vakarian feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Rollsson sprawling to the canvas! Rollsson rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Vakarian finish him?!
Rollsson is rocked!
Rollsson leaves his chin hanging out and Vakarian seizes the opportunity with an uppercut! Rollsson crumbles to the floor in a heap, and the referee steps in and tends to the downed fighter! What a knockout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:14 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Garrus Vakarian!
