The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ballard shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Ballard tries to free his leg and advance position but Days is retaining full guard.
Ballard stopping the sweep attempt from Days.
Days preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Ballard has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Ballard postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Days is on top in guard.
Ballard wants to sweep here but Days controlling him for the moment.

Days has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Ballard is proving hard to escape from.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Eddie Days.
Days throws a head kick that looked like it stung.

It looks like Keith Ballard has been cut.
Days wants to slow Ballard down by chopping away at his legs.

Days lands a big head kick that sends Ballard tumbling to the mat! Days takes a step backwards and waves Ballard back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Ballard moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Days misses with a leg kick.
Days leaves Ballard with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Ballard avoids a kick to the body.
Days circles to his right before unloading a perfect head kick! Ballard drops to the canvas, hurt badly! Days follows Ballard to the ground and unloads with a series of strikes that force the referee to step in and end the fight! This one is all over!
