Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Erik Skarsgard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Krk Mrd (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Skarsgard comes to the cage accompanied by In Search of Vikings. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mrd fails with the takedown

and Skarsgard counters with a head kick that drops Mrd to the mat! Mrd scrambles across the canvas and gets back to his feet, still wobbly!

Mrd moves into range and clinches up with Skarsgard.
Skarsgard throws an elbow but it's blocked.
Mrd fails to pull guard.

Skarsgard breaks the clinch.
Skarsgard lands a nice shot that snaps Mrd's head back.

Mrd is rocked!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Mrd drops his hands momentarily. Skarsgard doesn't need a second invitation, landing a shot to the temple. Mrd staggers and falls to the mat and the ref dives in to save him from any more punishment. Mrd doesn't seem happy with the stoppage but he was done.
