The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sasake throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Fengap throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

and Sasake counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Fengap won't allow Sasake to pass to mount.
Sasake prevents Fengap from standing back up.

Sasake is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Fengap has managed to free his arm - good work.
Fengap is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Sasake slows the pace down in half guard.
Sasake thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Fengap really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Sasake. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Sasake is on top in guard.

and Sasake counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Sasake moves into range and connects with a jab.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Mustaf Fengap seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Sasake counters with a shoot takedown. Fengap fights it but they end up in guard.

Sasake is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Fengap is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Fengap has escaped and now he's on top!

Sasake is stalling here. Fengap is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Sasake seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Fengap has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

Fengap is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Sasake doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Fengap.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Sasake is looking to improve his position but Fengap isn't that keen on the idea.
It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Sasake here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.

Fengap jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Sasake is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Sasake and Fengap has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
