With a record of 11 - 7 - 0, fighting out of London, Kevin Conlin!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Donald Grub and James Ackerman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Conlin misses with a straight left.
Jones really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Jones throws a nice looking combination but Conlin bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Conlin.
Conlin tries to score with some ground and pound. Jones controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.

Conlin is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Jones has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Jones!

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Conlin wants to sweep here but Jones controlling him for the moment.

Conlin throws the left hand but Jones avoids the punch easily.
Jones bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Conlin uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Jones.

and Conlin counters with a lovely straight right hand!

Jones darts in trying to clinch
and Jones takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Conlin ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Conlin fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.

Conlin cracks Jones with an uppercut from hell and Jones crumples to the canvas, he's out! Oh no, he's recovered and he's grabbed one of Conlin's legs and pulled him into guard. The ref thought about stopping it there but he's let it go - good reffing!


Jones is rocked!
Conlin not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Oh Jones is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Let's hope that Conlin has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Jones seems to have got his legs back now.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Conlin breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Conlin takes a swing at Jones's ribcage but misses.
Jones tries to close the distance and clinch but Conlin swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Conlin shoots in and bounces Jones off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Conlin stays in close to Jones's body and controls the position.
Jones avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Conlin wants to control from the top but Jones keeps moving.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Kevin Conlin hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Well Conlin has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
