PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Marshmallow Bunny (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ivan Dizdar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ivan Dizdar will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Marshmallow Bunny!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ivan Dizdar!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Hirohito Nitta and Shigeki Sano.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bunny bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Dizdar gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Dizdar misses with some strikes from the bottom.
Bunny lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Bunny prevents Dizdar from improving his position.

Dizdar is just content to waste time from the top position. Bunny takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.

Dizdar tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Dizdar has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!



Dizdar shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Bunny's guard.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Dizdar looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Bunny with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Bunny wants to control but Dizdar is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Bunny is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control.
Dizdar seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Dizdar is nestled in close to Bunny, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Bunny is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Dizdar scores with a couple of nice shots.
Bunny is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Dizdar jumps into side control!

Bunny is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Dizdar off and has taken his back!

Ivan Dizdar showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Dizdar had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Bunny is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Dizdar Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Bunny's back instead.
The referee is taking a good look at Bunny as he is on the wrong end of some big shots from Dizdar!
