Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Bert Ernie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Juan Manuel Marquez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ernie has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Juan Manuel Marquez!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, James Glass and Donald Grub.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Marquez throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Ernie looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!

Marquez closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Ernie to the mat! Ernie manages to get full guard.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Marquez is fighting off a takedown attempt but Ernie is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Marquez to the mat. Marquez regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

Marquez has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Ernie off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
Horrible takedown by Marquez or perhaps it was just good defense by Ernie which made him look bad.
Marquez lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Ernie circles away quickly and effectively.

Marquez is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.

Ernie works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.

Marquez explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Well Marquez has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
