Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dan Dotson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Arnie McDougle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Dan Dotson has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Dan Dotson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Arnie McDougle!
The judges for this bout are Aleksandr Martynov, Dmitry Maklakov and Fedor Mirinova.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dotson scores with a jab to the body.
Dotson walks forward, straight into a front kick from McDougle.

McDougle shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
McDougle wants to control the pace but Dotson is squirming around nicely.
McDougle controlling his opponent.

McDougle has control of Dotson's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Dotson regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Dotson wants to control but McDougle is having none of it.

McDougle goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Dotson turns into him and now he's in McDougle's guard.
McDougle pulls Dotson in close to his closed guard and prevents Dotson from doing any damage or advancing position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Arnie McDougle was stalling too much, according to the referee.
McDougle keeps Dotson at a distance using the push kick.
Dan Dotson is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
McDougle tries to land a body kick
and Dotson counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps McDougle thinking.

McDougle shoots in and gets a takedown into Dotson's guard.

McDougle drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and McDougle jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Arnie McDougle hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

McDougle shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Dotson manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
McDougle sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Dotson's guard.
McDougle works his way into side control.
Dotson is looking to regain half guard here but McDougle keeps moving and retains side control.
Dotson is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on McDougle's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Dotson is staying active underneath McDougle, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

McDougle misses with a head kick.

McDougle feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

McDougle shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.

McDougle wants to control but Dotson is keeping him busy.
Dotson wants to get back to his feet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

McDougle is trying to work for a kimura but Dotson is defending well.

McDougle throws a sloppy head kick
and Dotson counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps McDougle thinking.

McDougle shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than McDougle was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

McDougle wants to finish this one by submission but Dotson is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from McDougle.
Dotson wants to control but McDougle is having none of it.
Arnie McDougle has got the better of the ground game so far.

McDougle wants to control the pace but Dotson is squirming around nicely.
Dotson is trying to escape the mount.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Well McDougle has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
