Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Rudi Voller (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Samir Kahric (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Voller gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Kahric counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Voller!

Kahric working for a guillotine from mount but Voller is in no mood to give up.
Voller tries to lock up and control but Kahric gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Kahric is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Voller to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Voller shrugs it off.

Kahric jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Voller is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Voller and Kahric has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

Kahric has hold of Voller's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Voller tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Kahric cranks the arm and Voller screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Voller, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
