Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Nathan Thornton!
The judges for this bout are William Gold, Donald Grub and Paul Tew.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thornton shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Bottensheller counters with a shoot takedown. Thornton fights it but they end up in guard.

Thornton utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

so Bottensheller counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

Bottensheller stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Thornton swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Thornton wants to get back to his feet but Bottensheller is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Bottensheller manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Thornton on his heels. He'll look to pass Thornton's guard now, I'm sure.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Bottensheller seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Thornton for as long as he can get away with.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Bottensheller, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
