Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Max Wiles (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jb Nnep (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Max Wiles!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jb Nnep!
The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Yuuki Gou and Shirou Masuda.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Wiles gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Nnep misses with a punch on the inside.
Nnep missing with knees to the body.
Nnep is looking to break free of the clinch but Wiles has double underhooks.

Wiles works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
Wiles scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Wiles won't allow Nnep to sweep him here.
Wiles looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
Wiles with a flurry of punches that miss.
Wiles lands a couple of digs.
Nnep keeping full guard, as Wiles tries to pass.
Nnep controls Wiles momentarily but Wiles frees himself.

Nnep is trying to hold Wiles in close to prevent damage but Wiles has managed to pass into half guard.
Wiles not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Nnep is staying active underneath Wiles, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Nnep is looking to control Wiles's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Nnep avoid being mounted?
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Wiles lands with a punch from half guard.
Nnep is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Wiles's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Wiles's back!
Wiles is trying to break free.
Nnep wants to control the position but Wiles frees himself and scrambles - Nnep manages to regain control in side control.
Wiles sneaks back into half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Wiles tries to roll over but Nnep keeps him under control.
Wiles is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Wiles is looking for a sweep. Nnep is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Wiles is trying to control but can't.
Wiles trying to get back to full guard but Nnep takes advantage of the position and moves to full mount!
Wiles is breathing heavily.
Wiles tries to hold on but Nnep pushes him away.
Wiles is squirming around, avoiding Nnep's attempts to control the action.

Nnep manages to capitalize on a mistake by Wiles to take his back!
Nnep is trying to stick to Wiles's back but Wiles is turning into Nnep. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Nnep's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Wiles.
Nnep is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Wiles knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Nnep on the ground.

Wiles wants to free his trapped foot but Nnep is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Wiles winds up and cracks Nnep with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Nnep punching from the bottom.

Wiles looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Wiles takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Wiles catches Nnep with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Nnep takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Wiles scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Nnep doesn't seem bothered though.
Nnep walks into a straight right hand from Wiles.
Max Wiles is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Wiles tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Nnep darts in trying to clinch
and Wiles counters with a leg kick.
Wiles throws a head kick that half lands.
Nnep closes the distance looking to clinch

and Wiles counters by clinching up.
Nnep managing to block the knees to the body from Wiles.
Wiles misses with an elbow over the top.

Wiles lands a right hand that snaps the head of Nnep backwards.
Nnep is breathing heavily.
Wiles lands with a right to the head.

Wiles breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Wiles scores with a decent looking hook.
A low kick from Nnep misses

and Wiles holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Wiles lands a left hand that snaps the head of Nnep backwards.

Wiles jumps guard and drags Nnep to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Wiles holds on and takes a little breather.

Wiles looking for a guillotine here but Nnep defends easily.

Wiles is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Nnep defends well.

Wiles scrambles and gets back to his feet.

Wiles darts in and clinches Nnep up against the cage.
A right hand to the body from Wiles.

Nnep takes a knee to the side of the body.

Wiles breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Wiles scores with a three punch combo!
A head kick misses from Wiles.
Nnep falls off balance throwing a combination
and Wiles counters with a low kick, right behind Nnep 's knee.

Wiles clinches.
A short uppercut from Wiles.
Nnep blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Wiles stops a takedown attempt from Nnep.
A right handed body shot lands from Wiles.
Wiles works on Nnep's body with a couple of short punches.
Nnep tries to circle away but Wiles has him pinned against the cage.
Wiles putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has Nnep in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body.

Wiles breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Wiles throws a leg kick that is checked

and Nnep counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Nnep wants to control but Wiles is keeping him busy.

Wiles looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Nnep seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Wiles does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Wiles is trying to maintain the position but Nnep is very close to passing his half guard.
Nnep trying to pass the guard but Wiles defending well.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Wiles wants to control but Nnep is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Nnep tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Wiles.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Max Wiles dominated that second round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!


Nnep moves out of range as Wiles throws a body kick.
Nnep has his takedown stuffed
and Wiles counters with a right hand to the body.
Nnep tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Wiles counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters.
Wiles throws a good cross that connects.
Wiles scores with a sloppy right hand. Nnep should have avoided that one.

Wiles changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Nnep looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Max Wiles overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Wiles grinds an elbow into Nnep's temple.
Wiles tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.

Nnep is working to avoid the ground and pound but Wiles connects with a decent elbow.

Wiles decides to stand back up.

Wiles instigates a clinch.

Wiles has picked Nnep up - he's going for a ride! Wiles dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
Wiles is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Nnep avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Wiles.

Wiles is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Wiles stops Nnep from getting back to his feet.

Nnep is pressing down on Wiles's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Wiles landing with the ground and pound.
Wiles wants to control from the top but Nnep keeps moving.
Wiles has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Nnep is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Nnep is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
Wiles is looking for a sweep. Nnep is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Wiles is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Nnep pulls his head out easily.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Nnep thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Wiles's head.
Wiles is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Nnep is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Wiles doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Nnep.
Nnep throwing shots but Wiles is blocking nicely.

And that's the end of the fight!
Max Wiles showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Wiles has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
