The judges for this bout are , Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ellis has Solus up against the cage in a clinch.
Solus lands an elbow inside that Ellis shrugs off.
Ellis misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Solus.
Solus is working for takedown but Ellis is calmly controlling the position for now.
Ellis works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.

Ellis wants to get up but he can't break Solus's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Ellis accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
