The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mariotti ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
McGriff loads up on a big right hand but Mariotti slips the punch.
McGriff darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
McGriff moves out of range of the strikes.
Mariotti rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and McGriff counters with a lovely straight right hand!
McGriff looks to score with a jab to the body but Mariotti is just out of range.

Mariotti takes a shot right to the bread basket.
McGriff connects with a single shot there.

McGriff's jab looks to have found its range, popping Mariotti under the eye.
Mariotti throws an off balance right hand
and Mariotti takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
McGriff takes a swing at Mariotti's ribcage but misses.
McGriff ducks under a wild hook from Mariotti.
McGriff looks to land a left hand but Mariotti moved out of range nicely.

McGriff lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.

Mariotti is rocked!

McGriff connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Mariotti's hands.
Oh Mariotti is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
No joy there for McGriff, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Mariotti seems to have got his legs back now.
McGriff fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Mariotti on the side of the head.

McGriff lands a nice shot that snaps Mariotti's head back.
Mariotti walks right into a perfectly timed right hook and goes down hard! He's out cold! The ref cradles Mariotti limp body while McGriff jumps on to the cage and waves to the roaring crowd. Wow that was just a brutal knockout!
