Smith is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by In The Morning. Dave Brent has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Good work by Smith as he checks the leg kick.
Brent slips a straight right by Smith.
Brent with a lazy takedown attempt
and Smith counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Brent misses with a shot to the body

and Smith counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Brent is in trouble now - Smith has advanced to mount!
Smith tries to take his opponent's back but Brent turns with him and manages to move into guard on the top. Nice work.

Smith has a closed guard, preventing Brent from standing up.

Brent got a little sloppy there for a moment and Smith has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Brent has managed to get both his arms back between Smith's legs - danger averted.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Smith is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Brent defends well.

Smith has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Brent is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Smith.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Michael Smith wasn't active enough on the ground.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Smith might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

and Smith counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Smith throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Brent misses with a left hand
and Smith counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

Michael Smith comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Smith has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
