The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones fails with an attempt to clinch.
A head kick misses from Jones.
Ring avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Ring cracks Jones with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the ropes.
Jones takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Ring misses with a right hand
and Jones counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Jones walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Ring checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Jones darts in trying to clinch
and Jones takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Ring works Jones's body with a nice hook.
Jones throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Ring makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Ring throws a good cross that connects.
Jones misses with a leg kick.
Ring throws a jab but it's blocked by Jones.
Jones fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Ring checks it well.
Jones throws a front kick aimed at Ring's knee but Ring avoids it well.

Jones takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Shane Ring is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Jones falls off balance throwing a combination
and Ring counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Ring connects with a body shot that sends Jones's belly button to the back.

Jones on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Jones tries to land a front kick but Ring steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Jones gets cracked there but stands up to it.

and Ring cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Jones needs to keep his hands up - Ring had a free shot at his head there.

Ring lunges at Jones with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Jones's hand.

Jones rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Ring counters with a stiff right hand.
Ring throws a low kick but it's checked well by Jones.
Ring throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Jones on the side of the head.
Ring scores with a hook to the body. Jones takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Ring lands the left hand.
Ring scores with a sloppy right hand. Jones should have avoided that one.
Jones shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Ring throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Jones on the side of the head.

Jones is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Ring.
Ring wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Ring might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

Jones moves forwards but Ring connects with a nice, crisp jab.

Oh Jones is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Roy Jones seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Jones seems to have got his legs back now.
Jones drops his hands momentarily and Ring takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

The crowd cheers as Ring lands an impressive looking overhand right. Jones doesn't seem phased though.

Jones looks up at the clock. Bad move! Ring lands a right hand from hell, dropping Jones. Ring pounces and finishes the fight with a flurry of punches and elbows.
