Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between kaison frandsen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jamal Thompson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Thompson's choice of entrance music: "Gods Gonna Cut You Down"-Johnny Cash. kaison frandsen has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Robert Twigg and Alan Glass.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
frandsen throws a chopping leg kick but Thompson manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
frandsen avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
frandsen fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Thompson tries to clinch there but frandsen circles away.

frandsen gets in close and instigates a clinch.
frandsen tries to pull guard but Thompson won't allow it.
frandsen has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Thompson avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Thompson tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

frandsen shoots in looking for a takedown. Thompson tries to sprawl out of it but frandsen keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Thompson manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
frandsen is breathing heavily.
Thompson changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. frandsen tries to avoid it but Thompson manages to keep hold of a leg and drag frandsen to the ground. frandsen escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Thompson desperately trying to maintain half guard.
frandsen throws a strike but Thompson avoids it easily and moves to full guard.
frandsen wants to stand and escape but instead Thompson has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
Thompson is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

frandsen is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

frandsen has momentary wrist control but Thompson slips an elbow through the middle.

frandsen might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

I looks like Thompson might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Despite being in the dominant position, Jamal Thompson just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
frandsen tries to clinch
and Thompson counters with a head kick. That will keep frandsen thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!

Thompson throws a left jab followed by a right to the body, Oh frandsen colapses and takes a barrage of punches from Thompson as he moves to mount! the ref stops the fight and frandsen is left battered and dazed whilst Thompson and his camp cheer!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jamal Thompson!
