Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Daniel One (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Josh Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Daniel One has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Daniel One!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Josh Jones!
The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Ben Zyskovitsi and Anni Minnemäki.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
One shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
letting Jones counter with a right hand.

One feints and as Jones raises his hands in defense, One changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Jones is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst One is controlling him.

One drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Jones dives on top into guard.
Jones wants to get up but he can't break One's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Jones trying to control but One is working from the bottom.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Jones wants to stand but One is controlling his posture from full guard.
One trying to keep a closed guard but Jones is proving a slippery customer.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Daniel One has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
One tries for a takedown but Jones circles away easily
and Jones cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Jones cracks One with an open hand slap.
One with a poor takedown
enabling Jones to counter with a crisp jab.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Daniel One. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Jones feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Ones jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
One misses with a takedown
and Jones counters with a stiff right hand.
One shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Jones counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Jones tries to bum rush One with a series of wild strikes but One uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

One gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Jones counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Jones looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
One on the wrong end of a nice hook.
One tries for a takedown but Jones circles away easily
enabling Jones to counter with a crisp jab.
Jones lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Jones is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! One had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
Jones throws a series of punches but One avoids them all with ease.
Jones lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but One circles away quickly and effectively.
One fails with the takedown
and Jones counters with a lovely straight right hand!

and Jones counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
One has his takedown stuffed
letting Jones counter with a right hand.
One shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Jones counters with a series of strikes. One will be more careful next time no doubt.
One is breathing heavily.
One shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Jones counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Jones lands with a nice combination. One backs away looking to recover.
One tries for a takedown but Jones circles away easily
letting Jones counter with a right hand.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

and Jones scores with a counter punch that sends One to the canvas! Jones smells blood - he's punishing One with more strikes and the ref has stopped it! One has no idea where he is - he's tackled the ref... oh dear, poor guy, the crowd is in hysterics!
