Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Lone Wolf (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Grant Horwick (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Horwick has gone for a leg lock! Wolf slips out almost immediately though and dives into Horwick's guard.

Wolf drops back, looking for a kneebar! Horwick looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Horwick looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Horwick!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Horwick seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

Horwick sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Wolf's guard.

Wolf has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Horwick is working away from the top position though.

Horwick fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Wolf looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Horwick lands an elbow inside that Wolf shrugs off.

Grant Horwick showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Horwick tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Horwick has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Wolf tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Horwick wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Horwick wants to lay and pray for a moment but Wolf keeps working.

Horwick wants to finish this one by submission but Wolf is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Horwick.
Wolf tries to lock up and control but Horwick gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Horwick stands up from mount. Strange move.
Wolf tries to clinch
and Horwick counters with a head kick. That will keep Wolf thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!
Wolf tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Wolf shoots for a takedown but Horwick saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Both fighters circling a little - Horwick finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.

Lone Wolf is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Horwick forces Wolf back against the cage and clinches.

Wolf tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Horwick smiles and moves away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Lone Wolf. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Grant Horwick comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Horwick has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
