Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Eddie Ironmaiden (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brian Dillon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Brian Dillon will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 1, fighting out of New York, Brian Dillon!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Dillon clinches with his opponent.

Brian Dillon seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Ironmaiden throws a sloppy strike from the bottom. He's now off balance and Dillon manages to pass to side control.

You can see the frustration on Ironmaiden's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Dillon tries to move to mount but Ironmaiden blocks the move with his legs.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Ironmaiden is looking to regain half guard here but Dillon keeps moving and retains side control.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Dillon takes a little break here. Ironmaiden wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
Ironmaiden is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Dillon asserts his dominance and retains side control.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Dillon tries to clinch

so Ironmaiden counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Ironmaiden trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Dillon is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Ironmaiden controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

Ironmaiden has gone for a leg lock! Dillon slips out almost immediately though and dives into Ironmaiden's guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Brian Dillon dominated that round.

Dillon is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Ironmaiden tries to clinch but Dillon moves away
letting Dillon counter with a right hand.

and Ironmaiden counters with a nice double leg into side control. Dillon won't be happy with that.

Ironmaiden decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Ironmaiden rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Dillon moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

and Ironmaiden counters with a combination of strikes to the head and body that crumple Dillon!


Dillon is rocked!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Ironmaiden is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Dillon is still in real trouble! Can Ironmaiden finish him?

Ironmaiden seems to be working for a kimura but Dillon defends the submission attempt.
Dillon seems to have recovered his senses.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Dillon is breathing heavily.

Ironmaiden is looking for a kimura but Dillon is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Ironmaiden to get the leverage.
Dillon is looking for a sweep. Ironmaiden is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Ironmaiden tries to pass to full mount but Dillon defends it.

Ironmaiden is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Ironmaiden thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Ironmaiden working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
