Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Keijo Lerppa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mikael Akerfeldt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Akerfeldt has chosen Opeth - Deliverance as his entrance music. Keijo Lerppa could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Mikael Akerfeldt's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lerppa tries for a takedown but Akerfeldt circles away easily
and Akerfeldt counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Lerppa really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Lerppa looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Akerfeldt has picked Lerppa up and slammed him! Lerppa can't keep hold of the triangle and Akerfeldt manages to pass to side control!

Lerppa postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Akerfeldt is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Lerppa, into his guard.

Lerppa has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Akerfeldt is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Lerppa.

Lerppa takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

Akerfeldt lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Akerfeldt throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Lerppa stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Akerfeldt lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
