Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Jim White!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Butch James!
The judges for this bout are James Atkins, James Glass and Daniel Bishop.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck with that takedown attempt from White.
White tries a head kick but it misses.
White goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
White throws out a leg kick but James moves out of range and White only half commits.
White falls off balance throwing a combination
and James counters with a series of strikes. White will be more careful next time no doubt.
James pulls out of a head kick attempt.
James shoots and misses

and White counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
White could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

White is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

White shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
James utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

White has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics James uses from the top position.

White works his foot free and advances to mount.
White can't control as he wanted to and James manages to get the fight back to his half guard.

Still in half guard, White seems content to control.
James is trying to stand back up but White is controlling him
James works his way to full guard. Good work.
White stays in close to James's body and controls the position.

White throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as James works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
White has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
