The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A slow jab from Simmons misses its intended target.
Simmons misses with a double jab

and Omega holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Omega has Simmons pressed against the cage, preventing Simmons from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Omega goes for a takedown attempt but Simmons pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Simmons misses with a takedown attempt - Omega sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Sloppy strikes from Omega. Those never looked like landing.
Simmons throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

and Omega counters with a nice double leg into guard.

Simmons manages to escape and get back to his feet.

A lazy left from Simmons finds it's target.
Omega ducks right into an uppercut from Simmons.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

and Omega counters into the clinch. Nicely done.

Simmons tries to break free but Omega pushes him back against the cage.
A nice left hand lands by Omega.
Simmons is looking to break free of the clinch but Omega has double underhooks.
Simmons wants to get back to striking at distance but Omega won't allow it.
Simmons's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Simmons wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Omega has him pressed against the cage.
Simmons wants to break free but Omega has control.
Simmons jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Omega walks away with a smile on his face. Simmons gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

and Omega counters with a series of strikes. Simmons will be more careful next time no doubt.

Omega takes a body punch but keeps moving.
ZPrizzy Simmons seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Simmons misses the shot to the body.
Simmons looks to land a combination but Omega avoids it well.

and Omega counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Simmons pushes a forearm under Omega's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Omega is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
