Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Buck Shot (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Firpo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). John Firpo is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, John Firpo!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Alan Glass and Frank Dennis.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Firpo tries to bum rush Shot with a series of wild strikes but Shot uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Firpo fails with a takedown attempt.
Shot lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.

It looks like John Firpo has been cut.
Firpo throws out a token jab with nothing on it.

Firpo moves into range and clinches up with Shot.
Shot is pressed up against the cage. Firpo has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Shot down to the mat. Shot avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Shot tries to score a power double leg takedown but Firpo sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Shot somewhat.
Firpo throws a predictable looking body shot
and Shot counters with a nice uppercut.
Firpo shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Shot as he jumps to the side.
Buck Shot has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of John Firpo.
Shot throws a low kick but Firpo moves out of range easily.
Firpo closes this distance looking for a takedown but Shot circles away.
Shot fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Firpo on the side of the head.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Firpo lands a glancing blow to the side of Shot's head.
Firpo takes one to the side of the head.

Firpo is rocked!
Firpo looks gassed!
BAM! Shot delivers a spinning backfist that drops Firpo like a ragdoll! This is all oooooveeeer! He was out before he hit the ground!
