Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Chuck Fiddel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andrei Arlovski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chuck Fiddel has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Chuck Fiddel!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Andrei Arlovski!
The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, William Gold and Sam Margolis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fiddel swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

and Arlovski counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Arlovski.

Arlovski wants to sweep but no luck.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Fiddel thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Arlovski is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Fiddel got a little sloppy there for a moment and Arlovski has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Fiddel has managed to get both his arms back between Arlovski's legs - danger averted.
Fiddel postures up in Arlovski's guard and throws a big left but Arlovski blocks it.
Fiddel has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Fiddel is looking to stand up but Arlovski won't let him.

Fiddel might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Arlovski looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
Fiddel wanted to stand there but Arlovski had control of the position.

Fiddel has gone for a leg lock! Arlovski slips out almost immediately though and dives into Fiddel's guard.
Arlovski prevents Fiddel from getting back to his feet.
Fiddel tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Fiddel is trying to keep Arlovski in close.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Fiddel manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Arlovski manages to get himself to full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Fiddel lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Fiddel wants to stand but Arlovski is controlling his posture from full guard.
Fiddel could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Fiddel wants to control from the top but Arlovski keeps moving.
Arlovski bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Fiddel's guard.
Arlovski looks gassed!
Arlovski prevents Fiddel from getting back to his feet.

Arlovski stands up from Fiddel's guard - Arlovski perhaps looking for a knockout.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Arlovski shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Fiddel is trying to defend but Arlovski finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Fiddel moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

Arlovski has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Fiddel to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Arlovski is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Fiddel pulls down on the head and he's put Arlovski to sleep! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:28 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Chuck Fiddel!
