The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Paredes instigates a clinch.
Paredes is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Berndt gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Berndt looking to throw knees to the head but Paredes is blocking nicely.

Paredes is trying to drag Berndt to the mat but Berndt just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Paredes accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
