The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Couture throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

and Mclevain counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Mclevain in particular looking to stall.
Couture controlling the position well.
Couture has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Mclevain is working away from the top position though.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Mclevain misses with a kick to the body.
Couture misses with a few strikes there.
Couture throws a left and a right that both miss
and Mclevain counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Couture throws a combination that misses
and Mclevain counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Mclevain is looking to clinch.
Mclevain wants to clinch but Couture slips to the side
and Couture counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Mclevain looks gassed!

Couture displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Mclevain.

Couture lands a left and a right that send Mclevain crashing to the mat, dazed. Couture thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Mclevain is rocked!

It looks like David Mclevain has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Couture looks to land a right hand but Mclevain moved out of range.
Mclevain is still on wobbly legs! Can Couture finish him?
Couture misses with a series of wild punches.
Couture sees an opening and throws a straight punch right through Mclevain's defenses. It connects perfectly with Mclevain's jaw and knocks him out cold! Wow - that's a contender for knockout of the year - absolutely brutal!
