Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jack Daniels (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matt Matsu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Daniels comes to the cage accompanied by Hate me now. Matt Matsu has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Matsu closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Daniels fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Matsu throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Daniels fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Matsu manages to avoid it.
Matsu wants to clinch.
Daniels takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.

Matt Matsu seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Matsu throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Daniels.
Daniels ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Matsu moves away.
Matsu misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Daniels scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Matsu doesn't seem bothered though.

Daniels catches Matsu with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

and Matsu moves into the clinch.
Daniels is breathing heavily.
Matsu comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
Daniels has had enough of the clinch but Matsu keeps him there for the moment.
Matsu lands an elbow inside that Daniels shrugs off.
Matsu has Daniels pressed up against the cage in a tight Thai clinch. Daniels is arching his back, trying to avoid the knees but a big one sneaks through from Matsu - that's hurt Daniels badly! Oh, another knee lands and Daniels is covering up! The referee steps in to save him - possibly a bit early but Daniels doesn't seem to be complaining.
