PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bob Barker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Little Grasshopper (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Barker comes to the cage accompanied by Remember The Name By Fort Minor. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Russell Pearce and John Kavanagh.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barker clobbers Grasshopper with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Barker loads up on a big right hand but Grasshopper slips the punch.
Grasshopper looks to clinch
and Grasshopper takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Barker shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Barker lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Grasshopper is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Barker, as that shot connected.
Barker throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Barker connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.

Grasshopper takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.

and Barker counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Barker winds up and cracks Grasshopper with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Grasshopper has a hand on Barker's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Barker takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!
Barker cracks Grasshopper with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Barker makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.

Barker digs a right hand into Grasshopper's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Grasshopper's gas tank.
Grasshopper tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Barker's elbow.
Grasshopper using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Barker has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
