Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bowman Rook (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Leonard Skinnard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rook comes to the cage accompanied by Daughtry-What I Want. Skinnard has chosen Free Bird as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Bowman Rook!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Leonard Skinnard!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rook scores with a jab to the body.
Skinnard just misses with a punch to the body.
Rook could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Skinnard keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Skinnard takes a swing at Rook's ribcage but misses.
Skinnard lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.

Skinnard drives through with a takedown into Rook's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.

Rook trying to keep a closed guard but Skinnard is proving a slippery customer.

Skinnard content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Skinnard in particular looking to stall.
Rook has hold of Skinnard's hands but Skinnard slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

Skinnard wants to free his trapped foot but Rook is holding on for dear life with his legs.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Skinnard seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Rook does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Skinnard might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Rook kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Leonard Skinnard wasn't active enough on the ground.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Rook throws a body punch but Skinnard moves out of range.
Skinnard swings for the body but Rook moves out of range.

A looping hook to the body misses from Skinnard. Rook does a little dance to reset his feet.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Rook swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Skinnard counters with a left to the body.
Rook takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.

Rook throws a lazy uppercut
and Skinnard connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Rook takes a swing at Skinnard's ribcage but misses.
Rook gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Skinnard.

Skinnard closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Rook to the mat! Rook manages to get full guard.
Skinnard slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Skinnard looking to pass the guard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Rook can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Skinnard controls the pace.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Leonard Skinnard was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Skinnard misses with a right hand
and Rook cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Rook takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.

Rook shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Skinnard manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Skinnard is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Skinnard manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Rook manages to get himself to full guard.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Skinnard is looking to work some ground and pound but Rook has wrist control.
Skinnard works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Skinnard wants to control but Rook is keeping him busy.

Skinnard wants to take a breather but Rook is having none of it.

Leonard Skinnard showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!



Skinnard shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Rook is bucking up trying to escape but Skinnard cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

Rook is squirming around, avoiding Skinnard's attempts to control the action.

We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Leonard Skinnard hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Rook listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
Skinnard cracks a nice hook into Rook's ribs.

Skinnard misses with a wild body shot.
Skinnard darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Skinnard is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Rook.
Rook misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Skinnard.
Rook is looking to clinch but Skinnard is avoiding it.
Rook tries to close the distance and clinch up but Skinnard swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Rook takes a jab right on the kisser.
Skinnard throws a quick inside leg kick.

Skinnard scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Rook is not content to let Skinnard control the position.
Skinnard is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Rook will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
Rook tries to bench press Skinnard off him but Skinnard keeps the position.
Skinnard tries to move into full mount but can't pass Rook's legs.

Skinnard creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
Skinnard moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now.
Let's hope that Skinnard has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Bowman Rook has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Leonard Skinnard comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Skinnard has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
