Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mark Mellendrez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Terell Wright (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Terell Wright was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Wright gets the takedown into side control.
Mellendrez parries the strikes from Wright easily there. Wright is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Mellendrez to escape.
Wright prevents Mellendrez from escaping the position.
You can see the frustration on Mellendrez's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Wright really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Mellendrez. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Wright seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Wright scores with a big shot! Mellendrez's head bounced off the canvas with a huge thud! More strikes land and the referee has jumped in to save Mellendrez! He was hurt real bad - good stoppage!
