Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mohammed Malik (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Michael Wallace (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wallace has chosen Godsmack - I Stand Alone as his entrance music. Michael Wallace will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Mohammed Malik!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Michael Wallace!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Daniel Bishop and Steven Brown.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wallace avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Malik shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Malik showed some decent athleticism there.
Malik is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Malik missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
Malik is looking to advance position but Wallace won't allow it.
Wallace scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Malik manages to mount him!
Malik could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
You get the feeling that Wallace really doesn't like being in this position too much.

Malik is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Wallace has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Wallace!

Malik scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Malik misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Wallace is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Malik doesn't manage to clinch there - Wallace circles away.
Wallace keeps the fight on the outside.

Wallace gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Malik counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Malik stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Wallace swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Mohammed Malik just wasn't active enough.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Wallace enables Malik to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Wallace manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Malik decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Wallace keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Wallace lands a nice looking kick to the body. Malik takes a step back to recover.
Wallace shoots in for a double leg but Malik sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Malik stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.

Malik wants to clinch up but Wallace keeps it at a distance.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Malik fails to land the takedown.

and Wallace counters with a nice low kick that buckles Malik's knee momentarily.

Wallace is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Malik gets to his feet. Wallace looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Malik wants to clinch.
Wallace leaves Malik with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Wallace avoids the head kick by Malik.

and Wallace counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Malik throws a leg kick

and Wallace counters with a nice double leg into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Wallace postures up.
Malik controlling the position.
Malik on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Malik tries to get out of the position.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Malik is on top in guard.
Malik throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Wallace works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Malik passes easily into side control. Nice work.

Malik looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Wallace is trying to escape and get back to his feet.

Malik decides to stand back up.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Malik misses with a double jab.

Malik looking to score a takedown here. Wallace is defending well but Malik drives through and ends up in Wallace's guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Wallace blocks a head kick by Malik.
Wallace tries for a takedown but Malik sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Malik misses the shot to the body.
Wallace looks to score with a jab to the body but Malik is just out of range.

Malik closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Wallace's guard.
Malik is pushing down on Wallace's leg trying to pass to half guard. Wallace is fighting to maintain full guard but Malik has managed to sneak the leg through.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Malik postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Wallace looks a forlorn figure.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Malik has control of Wallace's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Wallace regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Wallace wants to control but Malik is having none of it.

Malik is punishing Wallace with strikes - can he finish him?!
Mohammed Malik overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Malik is controlling his opponent, waiting for an opportunity to finish.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Malik punishes Wallace with strikes from the back mount.
Malik is riding his opponent, not letting Wallace buck him off.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Malik, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
