Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Danny Barrow (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dmitriy Kosarev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

2 - 0 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Danny Barrow!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

9 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Dmitriy Kosarev!
The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Johanna Lukiainen and Marco Blurström.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barrow misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Barrow shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Kosarev as he avoids it easily.
The fight stays on the outside here - Barrow looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

and Kosarev counters with a single leg into guard. Barrow didn't expect that.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Barrow looking for a guillotine here but Kosarev defends easily.

Kosarev really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Barrow. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Barrow is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Kosarev is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Kosarev postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Kosarev controls from within his opponent's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Barrow looking for a guillotine here but Kosarev defends easily.
Kosarev tries to stand but Barrow is controlling from the bottom.

Barrow wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Barrow lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Kosarev!
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Kosarev is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Kosarev is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

Barrow trying to control but Kosarev is having none of it.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Kosarev can do anything to dispel that myth.
BOOM! Barrow connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Barrow is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Kosarev is surviving well by controlling Barrow's body position as best he can.
Barrow throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Kosarev wants to hold on but Barrow pushes him away.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
The referee warns Kosarev that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

Barrow is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Kosarev moves into the clinch successfully.
Barrow has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Kosarev avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Danny Barrow. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Barrow is trying to force a seperation but Kosarev has the dominant position.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Barrow stops a takedown attempt from Kosarev.
Barrow wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Kosarev has Barrow pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Barrow manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Barrow wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Barrow is trying to drag Kosarev to the mat but Kosarev just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Danny Barrow dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Barrow moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
It looks like Dmitriy Kosarev has been cut.
Barrow lands with a jab that stuns his opponent. Kosarev is looking to close the distance but Barrow sees it coming and throws a beautiful knee! Kosarev crumbles to the mat and that's all she wrote! Let's hope Kosarev is OK because that was naaaaaasty!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:21 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Knee). Danny Barrow!
