Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Dru Rivers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Aldo Raine (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Raine has chosen Slaughter - Billy Preston as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Dru Rivers!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Aldo Raine!
The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Patrick Alders and Paulsen Ambrosius.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rivers thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Raine if he has to take too many more of those.
Raine swings for the body but Rivers moves out of range.
Raine misses with a low kick.
Raine takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Raine misses with a body shot
and Rivers counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Raine fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Rivers has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

That's one minute gone in the round.
The fight stays on the outside here - Rivers looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Rivers throws a leg kick that is checked
and Raine counters with an inside leg kick.
Rivers slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Rivers throws a body kick despite being completely out of range
enabling Raine to counter with a crisp jab.

Raine misses with a body kick.
Rivers throws a low kick but Raine avoids it.
Raine just misses with a punch to the body.
Rivers throws a low kick but it's checked well by Raine.

Rivers jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Rivers throws a poor cross that misses
and Raine counters with a straight right hand.
A nice inside leg kick there by Raine. That's going to slow Rivers down.
Rivers misses with a left hand
and Raine makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.

and Rivers counters with a stiff right hand.

and Raine counters with a straight right hand.

and Rivers connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Raine dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Rivers. That did some damage!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Aldo Raine dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

and Raine counters with a body kick that stops Rivers in his tracks momentarily.
Raine loads up on a big right hand but Rivers slips the punch.
Rivers throws a body punch but Raine moves out of range.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Rivers throws a lazy head kick
and Raine counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Rivers takes a head kick and shrugs it off.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Rivers cracks Raine with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Rivers tries a head kick but it misses.
Raine takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Some bone on bone action there as Rivers checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Rivers tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Raine is able to avoid easily.
Aldo Raine seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Raine plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
A combination from Raine does no damage.
Rivers takes a body punch but keeps moving.

Raine swings away with a body shot that misses
and Rivers counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Raine throws a right hand that misses
and Rivers makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Raine digs a good body shot into Rivers's ribs.
Raine ducks right into an uppercut from Rivers.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Raine fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Raine is looking to clinch but Rivers is avoiding it.
Raine attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
Raine feints and then cracks Rivers's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Rivers down.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Aldo Raine showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!


Raine motions for Rivers to come forward. Raine throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Dru Rivers seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Raine scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Rivers is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.
Rivers plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

and Rivers connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Raine swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Raine keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Rivers.
Raine tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Raine is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Rivers rather than just go for the knockout.
Rivers takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Rivers throws a leg kick that is checked
and Raine counters with a flying knee. Nice.
Rivers on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Raine. Raine obviously looking to wear him down.
Rivers tries to move into range but Raine moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Raine is looking to clinch but Rivers is avoiding it.

Rivers takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Raine ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Rivers takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Raine dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Rivers. That did some damage!
Aldo Raine is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Rivers on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

and Raine counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.

Aldo Raine comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Raine has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
