The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barrera lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.

It looks like Leon Spyridon has been cut.

Spyridon forces Barrera back against the cage and clinches.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Barrera can do anything to dispel that myth.
Barrera is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
Spyridon is looking to take a break and control but Barrera is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Barrera tries to control the position but he's not in luck - Spyridon easily slips into full mount!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Spyridon controlling the position well here. Barrera rolled but Spyridon kept the hooks locked in and stayed in the dominant position.
Barrera's corner are yelling at him, telling him to just focus on controlling Spyridon's hands.

Barrera really must keep his cool here. He's controlling one of Spyridon's hands and whilst he does that, he's got a chance of escaping the position.
