Cheung is coming into this fight with a significant injury, which will no doubt have an effect on his cardio. Eddie Cheung has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Shamrock gets a takedown into half guard.
Cheung looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Shamrock not doing much here.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Ben Shamrock was stalling too much, according to the referee.

Shamrock shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Cheung napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Shamrock tries to advance to mount but Cheung denies him.

Shamrock is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Cheung has escaped the position, nice work there.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

Shamrock has an Americana. Cheung didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Shamrock is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Shamrock hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
