Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Chris White (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Doug Lowbrow (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lowbrow has chosen The Chicken Dance as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Chris White!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Doug Lowbrow!
The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Dean Styles and Russell Pearce.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lowbrow wants to clinch but White slips to the side
and White cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Lowbrow darts in trying to clinch

and White counters with a nice double leg into side control. Lowbrow won't be happy with that.

White goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Lowbrow has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for White but great work by Lowbrow.
Lowbrow wants to lay and pray for a moment but White keeps working.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Lowbrow decides to stand back up. Lowbrow steps back and let's White get back to his feet.
Lowbrow tries to clinch but White moves away

and White counters by clinching up.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Lowbrow is pressed up against the cage. White has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Lowbrow down to the mat. Lowbrow avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Lowbrow stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Lowbrow wants it to stay on the feet.

and White counters with a nice double leg into side control. Lowbrow won't be happy with that.
White really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Lowbrow is trying to buck White off.

White works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.

White swings around for an armbar but Lowbrow sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into White's guard.
Lowbrow wanted to stand there but White had control of the position.
White on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if White tries to get out of the position.

White has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Chris White. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Lowbrow closes the distance looking to clinch

and White counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Lowbrow!
White with shots to the head and body - Lowbrow looks very uncomfortable down there.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Poor strikes thrown by White there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

White drives through with a takedown into Lowbrow's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Lowbrow wants to get back to his feet but White passes into half guard.

Lowbrow kicks White off and gets back to his feet.

White shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, White cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Chris White overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Lowbrow is trying to get back to his feet but can't.

White lands a big elbow.
White with a couple of short strikes.
White throws a strike there. Lowbrow manages to avoid it well and slips a leg under to get to half guard.

White gets to his feet - back to striking we go!
Lowbrow moves to clinch but White breaks away
and White counters with a nice body shot.
Lowbrow closes the distance looking to clinch

and White counters with a single leg into guard. Lowbrow didn't expect that.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
White postures up in Lowbrow's guard and throws a big left but Lowbrow blocks it.

Lowbrow manages to escape and get back to his feet.

Lowbrow scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Doug Lowbrow is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
An inside leg kick from Lowbrow misses.
Doug Lowbrow seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

White gets the takedown into side control.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
White in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.
Check out the look on White's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
Lowbrow is looking to work his way out of this bad position but White is controlling him well.
White cracks Lowbrow with a big right hand but Lowbrow just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
White throws an elbow but Lowbrow slips to the side and avoids it well.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
White working the ground and pound but Lowbrow is defending the strikes.
Lowbrow is breathing heavily.
White throwing strikes but Lowbrow manages to buck up and roll into a nice reversal - now he's on top in side control!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Chris White dominated that second round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!



Lowbrow tries to sprawl but White drives through with a takedown into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Lowbrow looks like he's trying to stand up.
White passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Lowbrow!
White scores with a couple of good head shots there.

White lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Lowbrow trying desperately to get to his feet.
Lowbrow takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

White working for a submission but Lowbrow is keeping him at bay.

Doug Lowbrow has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Lowbrow is trying to stand.
White working away from the top, dropping strikes.

White looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
White lands a big shot there that rocks Lowbrow but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Lowbrow's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
White raining down hammerfists from mount.

White has control of Lowbrow's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Lowbrow regains control of the situation pretty easily.
White lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.

And that's the end of the fight!
Chris White showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for White, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
