The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Manning does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

Legus moves into the clinch.
Legus with a knee to the head.

It looks like Payton Manning has been cut.
Legus unloads a knee to the mid-section. Manning lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.
Legus with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Legus stalls.

Legus breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Legus has managed to clinch.
Manning is working for takedown but Legus is calmly controlling the position for now.
Legus scores with a knee to the head.

Legus breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Legus bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Manning's head backwards.

Legus pushes Manning up against the cage in a clinch.
Legus lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Legus jerks Manning's head down, straight into the path of a devastating knee! Manning drops to the floor in a crumpled heap! Legus goes to throw a finishing haymaker but pulls out - good sportsmanship from Legus because Manning was completely out of it. That was a nice finish - just the right level of brutality to send everyone home happy.
