Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rocki Balboa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rocco Stupka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rocco Stupka has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Rocki Balboa's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Rocki Balboa!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Rocco Stupka!
The judges for this bout are Aleksandr Martynov, Konstantin Menshow and Ivan Kurochkin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stupka throws a one two combo.


It looks like Rocki Balboa has been cut.
A combination from Stupka does no damage.
Stupka stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Stupka wants it to stay on the feet.
Balboa shoots in looking for a takedown but Stupka manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Balboa's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Stupka throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Balboa stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Balboa is breathing heavily.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Stupka pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Stupka connects with a looping right hand.
Stupka misses with a jab, cross combination.
Balboa slips a jab and a cross from Stupka.
Balboa shoots in looking for a takedown. Stupka tries to sprawl out of it but Balboa keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Stupka manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Rocki Balboa. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Stupka swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

and Balboa counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Stupka's guard now.
Stupka is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Balboa will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Balboa trying to control but Stupka is working from the bottom.
Balboa throws a big right hand that misses.
Stupka is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Stupka is looking to stand up but Balboa isn't so interested in that idea.

Balboa stands up over Stupka, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Balboa pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Stupka is keeping the position for now.
Stupka is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Balboa dives into side control.
Balboa landing with strikes to the head and body from side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Balboa is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Stupka's shoulder. That is not cool.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Stupka taking a bit of punishment here - Balboa scoring with strikes.
Balboa works to advance to full mount. Stupka defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.
Stupka is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Stupka is trying to escape the mount.
Balboa looking to finish Stupka with some ground and pound. This is bad for Stupka!
Balboa connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Balboa postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Stupka looks a forlorn figure.
Balboa putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound!
Balboa lands a big shot there that rocks Stupka but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Stupka is trying to escape the mount.

Balboa content just to control the position here.
Balboa lands a big elbow.
Stupka's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.

Stupka is working to get back to half guard.

Stupka is flailing around, obviously not happy about being mounted. Balboa locks hold of one of his arms and spins for an armbar. He's got it! Stupka is forced to tap!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:36 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Rocki Balboa!
