The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A looping hook to the body misses from Marsh. Da does a little dance to reset his feet.
Marsh punishes Da's body with a nice straight punch.
Da fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Marsh is out of range.
Marsh misses with a takedown
and Da counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters.
Da shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Marsh sprawls well. Marsh wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Da gets slowly back to his feet.
Marsh gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Da counters with a takedown into side control.
Da throws a strike aimed at the side of Marsh's head but Marsh avoids it well.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Marsh can do anything to dispel that myth.
Marsh is trying to escape the position but Da is controlling the position.

Da seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Marsh for as long as he can get away with.
Da has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Da is working to tighten is grip on Marsh's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Marsh has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Da is really squeezing tight and eventually Marsh passes out! Da breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
