Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Adam Cain (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jason Bishop (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Adam Cain!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jason Bishop !
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Frank Dennis and Gwen Towbar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bishop slips under a jab.
Cain thows a body shot but no joy.
Cain misses with a wild combination.
Cain misses with a straight left.
Bishop blocks a jab.
Bishop tries to clinch up but Cain circles away and keeps his distance.
Bishop shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Cain but Cain pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Nice sprawl there from Cain as Bishop shoots in.
Some wild striking there from Cain.
Bishop will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Adam Cain has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jason Bishop .
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Cain throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Cain tries to bum rush Bishop with a series of wild strikes but Bishop uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Cain shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Bishop 's guard.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Cain is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Bishop drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Cain is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Bishop 's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.

Cain stalks Bishop and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Bishop 's face. Bishop staggers backwards, shaken.

Bishop shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Cain's guard.
Adam Cain overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Bishop postures up in Cain's guard and throws a big left but Cain blocks it.
Cain wants to stand up but Bishop is controlling him.
Bishop wants to control from the top but Cain keeps moving.
Bishop stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Cain swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Bishop drops back looking for a leg! Cain is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Cain manages to kick Bishop off! Bishop jumps back into Cain's guard.
Cain is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Bishop is controlling him.

Bishop takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Bishop tries to lock up and control but Cain gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Cain will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Cain's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Cain seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Bishop for as long as he can get away with.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Bishop steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Cain.

and Bishop decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Cain's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Cain lands a nice short elbow.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Cain is controlling the pace.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Adam Cain.
Well Cain has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
