Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Raymondo Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Oliver Fran (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jab by Gracie.
Gracie manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Fran on his heels. He'll look to pass Fran's guard now, I'm sure.
Fran wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
Gracie avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Gracie sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Fran's guard.
Fran is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Gracie's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Gracie's back!

Gracie is trying to escape under a series of strikes and manages to escape from Fran 's hooks.
Fran wants to take Gracie's back here but Gracie is holding on to an arm, himself looking to escape.

That was a close round but I would say that Raymondo Gracie will probably get the nod.

and Gracie counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Fran controls Gracie momentarily but Gracie frees himself.
Gracie stands up over Fran, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!
Fran shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Gracie counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Fran's guard now.
Fran wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Gracie is now in half guard.
Fran is trying to maintain the position but Gracie is very close to passing his half guard.
Gracie works his way into full mount!
Fran tries to hold on but Gracie postures up.

Fran tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Gracie is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Fran has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Fran!
Fran looking to sit in guard and control but Gracie gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Fran pulls Gracie in close to his closed guard and prevents Gracie from doing any damage or advancing position.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Oliver Fran has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Fran doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Gracie counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Gracie stands and throws Fran's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Raymondo Gracie is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Fran is trying to control Gracie's posture but Gracie avoids it.

Fran is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
