Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Don Golf (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hans Landa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Don Golf!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Hans Landa!
The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Sergei Dronov and Dmitry Maklakov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Landa has his takedown stuffed
and Golf counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Golf connects with a body shot that sends Landa's belly button to the back.
Decent striking displayed by Golf there.
Landa wants to clinch up but Golf keeps it at a distance.
Landa throws a poor cross that misses
and Golf counters with a stiff right hand.
Landa connects with a right hand. Golf shakes it off.

Landa moves into the clinch successfully.
Golf tries to circle away but Landa has him pinned against the cage.

Landa throws a body punch but Golf moves out of range.

and Golf counters with a lovely straight right hand!

Landa misses with an uppercut.
Horrible takedown by Landa or perhaps it was just good defense by Golf which made him look bad.

Hans Landa seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Golf misses with a looping left.

A cross from Landa lands.
Golf circles away from the clinch attempt.
Landa throws a leg kick which misses Golf's front leg but catches the back leg as Golf tries to avoid it.

Landa looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Landa shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Golf sprawls well. Golf wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Landa gets slowly back to his feet.

Golf is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Landa.

Landa's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
Golf wants to break free but Landa has control.
Landa gets through Golf's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Golf wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Landa has him pressed against the cage.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Golf looks like he's trying to stand up.
Landa throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

That was a close round but I would say that Don Golf will probably get the nod.

Landa closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Landa stops Golf from standing up.
Golf knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Landa on the ground.
Landa slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Landa creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Golf sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

Landa throws an elbow but Golf slips to the side and avoids it well.

Golf is pushing Landa's head away, looking to escape. Landa manages to hold on to the position though.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
The strikes coming from Landa are missing the target in this wave of attacks.

Landa throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Golf works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure.

Golf got a little sloppy there for a moment and Landa has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Golf has managed to get both his arms back between Landa's legs - danger averted.

Landa throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Golf escapes and throws Landa's legs to the side, diving into side control!

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Don Golf.
I think Golf has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
