Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
8 - 6 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Victor Drago!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Balaur Bondoc!
The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Ivan Kurochkin and Aleksandr Martynov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bondoc lands with an overhand left.
Drago closes the distance and clinches up with Bondoc, looking for a takedown. Drago pushes Bondoc against the cage but Bondoc circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
The fight stays on the outside here - Bondoc looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Bondoc fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Bondoc rushes Drago and presses him up against the cage.
Drago breaks the clinch.
Bondoc is looking to clinch but Drago is avoiding it.
Drago closes this distance looking for a takedown but Bondoc circles away.
Drago avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Bondoc moves into the clinch.
Drago wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Bondoc connects with a knee to the head.
It looks like Victor Drago has been cut.

A short body shot lands from Bondoc as the two fighters clinch.
Drago really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Drago tries to pull guard but Bondoc holds him up against the cage and eventually Drago drops back down to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Victor Drago. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Drago tries to circle away but Bondoc has him pinned against the cage.

Drago changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Bondoc fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Drago lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Drago.
Drago tries to keep at a distance but Bondoc has taken the fight into the clinch.
Bondoc tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Bondoc will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Drago up against the cage.
Bondoc is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Drago is keeping busy.
Bondoc gets underhooks to prevent Drago's takedown attempt.

Bondoc paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.

Drago is trying to drag Bondoc to the mat but Bondoc just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Bondoc lands a hook that snaps the head of Drago backwards.
Drago avoiding damage as Bondoc throws knees to the body.
Bondoc digs a right hand underneath Drago's ribcage. Drago let out a lung full of air as it connected.
Drago tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Bondoc smiles and moves away.
Bondoc instigates a clinch.
Bondoc lands a nice knee to the body.
Bondoc breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Bondoc uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Drago.

Drago throws a predictable looking body shot
and Bondoc counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Bondoc gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Drago drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Bondoc gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Oh Drago is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Bondoc is throwing a storm of strikes! Right hook, left hook and follows it up with a spinning back fist! Drago hits the canvas like a rag doll! And just like that, this one is over!
