Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Taj Mahal (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Seppo Kova (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kova has chosen Jääkärimarssi as his entrance music. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Seppo Kova!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mahal scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Kova fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Good shot there by Mahal.
Mahal uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Kova.
Mahal misses the jab.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Kova.
No luck for Mahal with that takedown attempt.
Mahal steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Kova. That one must have hurt.
Kova lands a nice leg kick that just misses Mahal's sensitive parts.
Mahal with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Kova throws a head kick that Mahal semi-blocks.

Kova gets caught napping as Mahal dives in and scores a takedown. Kova manages to retain guard.

Mahal is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Kova is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Mahal is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

Mahal got a little sloppy there for a moment and Kova has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Mahal has managed to get both his arms back between Kova's legs - danger averted.

Mahal looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Kova with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Kova wants to control but Mahal passes into side.
Kova is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

Mahal in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Kova tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Mahal!
