Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Janek Janosik!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Henry Ochoa!
The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Thiago Cunha and Luis Engracia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ochoa clinches up with Janosik and pushes him back against the cage.
Ochoa manages to pull guard.
Ochoa uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Janosik tries to clinch there but Ochoa circles away.
Ochoa swings and misses with a shot to the body
and Janosik counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Janosik.
Janosik drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Ochoa dives on top into guard.
Janosik is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Ochoa is aware though and is defending well.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Janosik is looking to sinch up a triangle. Ochoa throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Janosik's body to avoid the submission. Janosik has instead reached around Ochoa's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Janosik arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:05 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Janek Janosik!
