The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva misses with a double jab
enabling Oliveira to counter with a crisp jab.
Silva tries for a takedown but Oliveira circles away easily
and Oliveira counters with a straight right hand.

and Oliveira counters with a three punch combo that has Silva backing up. Silva nods at Oliveira to acknowledge the strikes.

enabling Oliveira to counter with a crisp jab.

and Oliveira counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

and Silva takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Romo Silva seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Silva uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Oliveira.
Silva shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Oliveira counters with a straight right hand.

Silva throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Oliveira was covering up waiting for the punch and Silva finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Silva won't allow Oliveira to get back to his feet.

Oliveira tries to kick Silva off in order to stand up. Silva Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control.

Silva is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Oliveira will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.

Silva has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Oliveira cracks Silva with a good jab.

Oliveira lands with a nice combination. Silva backs away looking to recover.

and Oliveira cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
