Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Curly Rogers!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Frank Dennis and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Rogers shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Holtz's guard.

Rogers connects with a couple of short punches.
Holtz not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Rogers lands a couple of decent looking shots.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Rogers accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Holtz looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Rogers is pushing down on Holtz's leg trying to pass to half guard. Holtz is fighting to maintain full guard but Rogers has managed to sneak the leg through.
Rogers is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
Holtz wants to control but Rogers is keeping busy.
Rogers really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Holtz. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Rogers thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Rogers thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Holtz's head.
It looks like Rogers is going to stand back up.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Holtz on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.

Rogers wants to free his trapped foot but Holtz is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Holtz is not content to let Rogers control the position.

Rogers tries to stand and escape but Holtz is controlling the position.
Rogers seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.


Holtz is rocked!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Holtz on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Oh Holtz is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Holtz wants to control but Rogers is keeping busy and won't allow it.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Rogers seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Rogers is sitting in half guard. He's postured up and lands a nice elbow. Oh, Holtz is hurt! He's hurt bad - Rogers fires away with more strikes and the referee jumps in to save Holtz from any more punishment! Congratulations to Rogers! Great finish!
